Architectural Internship (m/w/x) - Gigafactory Berlin

Duration: 5-6 months

The Internship:

The Gigafactory Design Team is looking for a sharp and collaborative Architecture or Interior Design student to join their Architectural Team. The internship is focused on with assisting various tasks related to the Tesla Gigafactory Berlin building.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to complete an internship in the start-up phase of Tesla’s European Gigafactory in the Berlin area and be part of an expert team who is driving this ambitious project forward at unprecedented speed.

Learning goals:

• Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
• Collaborate with design team, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
• Assist with the review of RFI’s and Submittals during the construction administration portion of the project
• Help develop REVIT families, standard details, and manage BIM files.
• Perform design option analysis for cost efficiency, constructability, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interior design/architecture in progress
• Previous internship experience strongly desired.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D software, such as Auto CAD, Revit, 3d Studio MAX, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and/or SketchUp
• Knowledge of relevant German building codes and accessibility requirements
