The Internship

To that end, Tesla is seeking a hardworking and passionate Data Analyst Intern. In this role, you will be part of a startup team that is focused on delivering a highly scalable platform that enables growth of current and future projects, products and services at the European Gigafactory.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join Tesla for an internship alongside the first employees of the European Gigafactory in Berlin and make a lasting impact.

Learning goals and tasks

  • Help set up new dashboard needed for the Gigafactory Berlin project
  • Measure impact and performance of various initiatives
  • Perform deep-dive analysis of and help to develop and maintain a set of KPIs
  • Partner with engineering and work cross-functionally to create and communicate key insights, influence key decisions and offer recommendations
  • Work with the engineering team to make sure that we are collecting all of the data/logs needed to properly analyze what we set out to measure
  • Create ETL flows to help support the growth team make data-informed decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Analytics or similar subject
  • Fluent in English and ideally also in German.
  • Previous internship or work experience in data analytics, dashboarding, and insight generation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven history of finding valuable insights from complex sets of data
  • Ability to successfully work with a broad range of teams including engineering and operations
  • Good understanding in technology development best practices (such as, Agile, etc.)
  • Strong SQL, Python, Excel and data-visualization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders
