Sales Engineering Manager EMEA
The role
The role of the Sales Engineering Manager is to lead, assist and develop a team that provides technical support to the Sales team, selling battery solutions into a wide array of markets and applications.
The Sales Engineering team:
· Provides technical support to sales efforts
· Serves as a technical lead during call-for-tenders and RFPs
· Works with external counterparties to identify the best technical fit and implementation of a Tesla battery system, from initial discussions through to contract execution
· Helps analyze new markets and applications
· Collaborates with internal teams to provide market feedback of functional requirements
This is multi-faceted role where strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals of energy storage systems is expected. Responsibilities
· Lead, serve, support, and develop a team of Sales Engineers. Inspire and support the personal growth of this team
· Manage the workload of the Sales Engineering team; liaising closely with the Sales team, ensure priorities are clearly identified, well communicated and managed appropriately
· Be the lead voice for the Sales Engineering team; providing key metrics and feedback to the wider Tesla teams.

Requirements
· Ability to lead and inspire a team of highly skilled Sales engineers
· BSc, BEng, MEng and/or evidence of exceptional ability in the relevant engineering field
· In depth working knowledge of power generation and engineering fundamentals
· Knowledge of battery systems, power conversion, and grid systems
· Strong relevant work experience, to include:
o Project deployment - familiarity with tendering, permitting, connection agreements, and construction drawings
o Application of analysis, design and testing to solve complex engineering problems
o CAD, MATLAB, Excel experience preferred
o Renewable energy background (Solar or Wind) beneficial
· Understanding of grid codes and local regulatory & safety standards
· Excellent communication and documentation skills
· Fluency in English, other European languages highly regarded
· Ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel
