Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake provides and maintains land, facilities and other assets that support the Navy’s research, development, acquisition, testing and evaluation (RDAT&E) of cutting-edge weapons systems for the warfighter.

NAWS China Lake is adjacent to the city of Ridgecrest and is located in the Western Mojave Desert region of California, approximately 150 miles north of Los Angeles. NAWS China Lake is one of the largest military installations in the world. In total, its main site and two ranges cover more than 1.1 million acres, an area larger than the state of Rhode Island.

The primary mission supported by The Boeing Company on NAWS China Lake is the F/A-18 multirole combat jet and the EA-18 variant. Boeing works directly with its Navy customer on system integration, development, test and evaluation to support the warfighter.

The site is comprised of employees from across the Boeing enterprise including Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E), Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), and Boeing Global Services (BGS). This requisition will work on a United States Department of Defense contract. United States citizen only per 22 U.S. Code § 6010. Candidates must have the ability to obtain an interim and full security clearance for which US citizenship is required.

Test and Evaluation Integration Specialist, Flight Test (Full-Time)

This position will be a member of the flight test and evaluation team. An integration specialist would be expected to support all aspects of flight test. The role will be that of an integrator and facilitator. The team is responsible for test planning, execution, and analysis of flight, ground, and laboratory tests on F/A-18s, EA-18s, or their subsystems. The tested are conducted to verify new or updated hardware and software and their integration into the existing platform. Tests are then evaluated against customer and design specification.

(Basic Qualifications) Required:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or Higher
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance, for which US citizenship is required.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in flight test, laboratory testing, data analysis, instrumentation, system integration, aircraft maintenance, or simulation.
• Experience on the F/A-18 and/or EA-18G platform.
• Active US Secret security clearance.
• Graduate level degree (MS) in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or related program of study. ABET accredited degree preferred although not required
