Position Description

Pulse8 is seeking a talented Software Engineer to use best coding practices to Position will also be required to perform support functions and other ancillary duties as assigned. Superior technical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Investigates problem areas.
• Follows the software development lifecycle.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
• Work with teammates to prioritize, design, build, test, deploy, troubleshoot, document, and support technology solutions using industry and Pulse8-identified best practices
• Perform a wide range other ancillary duties in support of production runs and other company initiatives as necessary

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficient in: C#, .NET
• NET/MVC, HTML5, JQuery, Angular, CSS3, and Web API
• Proficient in: MS SQL: Database Design, Normalization, T-SQL Stored Procedures, Functions and Performance Tuning
• Proficient in Visual Studio
• Experience using SDLC software such as TFS or Jira
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud based development; prefer Microsoft Azure
• MS SSIS
• Knowledge of healthcare with relative experience in: Claims data, Medicare, Quality (5-Star, HEDIS) and Medicaid
• Ambulatory EMR Experience
• Experience in working with EPIC/Clarity
• Agile/Scrum/Kanban
• EMR/Integration experience (HL7, FHIR, APIs)
• Strong documentation skills

Travel requirements:

• No to minimal travel

Working arrangements:

• Monday through Friday or as defined by assignment requirements
