Job Description
The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International segment (DTCI) is a global, multiplatform media, technology and distribution organization for high-quality content created by Disney’s Studio Entertainment and Media Networks groups. DTCI includes Disney’s international media operations and the Company’s direct-to-consumer businesses globally, including the upcoming Disney-branded direct-to-consumer streaming service, the Company’s ownership stake in Hulu, and the ESPN+ sports streaming service, programmed in partnership with ESPN. BAMTECH Media, developer of the ESPN+ and Disney-branded streaming platforms, oversees all consumer-facing digital technology and products across the Company as part of the Direct-to-Consumer and International segment.
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred – Physics, Math Economics, Business Administration
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Finance
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred – Physics, Math Economics, Business Administration
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a corporate finance / business analytics role. Ad Sales experience is a plus, not required.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with information systems and/or strong ability to quickly learn new information systems (primarily Business Objects, Google Ad Manager, and Operative)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly micro details into a broader summary for different levels of management
- Advanced Excel abilities (Nested statements, pivot tables, charting, combining functions like Index, Match, Offset and Indirect)
- Acute attention to detail and aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies
- Assist and support the month close and quarter end reporting, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans, as well as reports explaining variances between actual results and financial projections for all components of Digital Ad Sales revenue.
- Provide weekly reports of booked and working ad sales to management inclusive of revenue and key ad sales metrics.
- Assist with the day-to-day support, data analysis, and data reconciliation and any other questions for Sales, Accounting, and other Finance partners.
- Provide insight into trends and identify risks and opportunities via in-depth data analysis using various reporting tools and business knowledge. Partner with numerous groups including Disney Ad Sales leadership and Research to measure ad performance and make recommendations to influence the direction of the business.
Required Education : - Bachelor’s degree in Science or Finance
