Job Description

Kickstarter's System Integrity Team is looking for a Product Manager. Apply to join the team that stewards trust within our community, keeping our ecosystem equitable and sustainable. About the Team The System integrity Team works collaboratively and cross-functionally to develop features, tools, and policies that serve both creators and backers. We harness insights from data science, behavioral economics, and system design to anticipate future problems and to scope the opportunities that keep our model fair and functional. Recently, we've been building features that increase the level of creator preparedness and transparency on Kickstarter campaigns. We've also been designing feedback loops that grant us deeper insight into how projects fare after they’ve successfully reached their funding goals. About the Role You’ll be leading the System Integrity Team through every phase of the product process: brainstorming, research, wireframing, testing, development, deployment, analysis, follow-up, and iteration. From improving core features to delivering brand new ideas and utilizing innovative technology, you will synthesize broad strokes into actionable and phased roadmaps with clear objectives. You will lean heavily on your ability to map obstacles and solve problems creatively every day. We’re open to a wide range of experience, but we’re especially interested in candidates who have a demonstrated track record of success in developing inspiring and functional products for web, mobile, and native platforms.

About You:

    • You have experience building and shipping successful products to the world.
    • You have prior Product experience focused on consumer web and mobile or social.
    • You are a confident leader: proactive, energetic, driven, and inspiring.
    • You are a strong collaborator, communicator and mentor to others.
    • You have empathy for our diverse community of backers and creators.
    • You are scrappy, with an entrepreneurial spirit towards problem-solving and organization.
    • You are skilled in various ways to unearth product opportunities and validate ideas (A/B testing, prototyping, spikes, MVPs, etc).
    • You have experience in both qualitative and quantitative product research.
    • You are confident in your ability to present work and ideas. You can synthesize findings into next steps.
    • You have experience developing product process, reporting and measurement.
    • You have excellent communication, writing, and people skills.
    • You have a deep interest in Kickstarter’s mission to help bring creative projects to life, and the product opportunities and challenges that come along with it.
