OUR IMPACT:
Liquidity Management is a team of critical thinkers who manages the firm’s daily funding requirements which consist of both cash and securities inventory. Our global team oversees the Firm's overall cash flows, payment strategy, and optimization of the Firm’s inventory across Fixed Income & Equity collateral.
Liquidity Management partners with Corporate Treasury, Liquidity Trading Desks, and other the teams across the Federation to provide real-time and forward looking currency projections, while managing the disbursement of cash and securities across the Firm’s accounts. Liquidity Management plays a key role in the management of the of Firm’s secured funding business by optimizing the allocation of collateral in triparty repurchase agreement trades. Liquidity Management also partners with Transaction Banking Operations to provide front to back services to transaction banking clients around the world in services including cash management. For every new product launched and every client on-boarded Liquidity management helps with the development and enables business flow.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES
Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading and assetmanagement capabilities to clients around the world. Alongside this vital service delivery role, Operations provides essential riskmanagement and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and its reputation.Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, andhelp to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity to our business.Liquidity Operations is the firm’s “central bank” for managing the firm’s overall cash positions. The team works in a time sensitiveenvironment in which accuracy of processing and timely escalation and communication with the various Operations teams,Corporate Treasury and the firm's external Nostro Agent Banks is essential to a smooth settlement process.The successful candidate will work in the cash management team to support daily cash funding, new business build-out, and alsoaggressively drive forward control and efficiency initiatives.Liquidity Operations Cash Management manages short term liquidity by forecasting the firm’s daily cash requirements. LiquidityOperations then distributes the liquidity across Goldman Sachs’ entities and bank accounts via intercompany loans (betweendifferent Goldman Sachs entities) or intracompany transfers (within the same entity). The team also partners with various agentbanks to secure and manage the intraday liquidity to facilitate the successful cash settlement across all products/markets for thefirm. Additional responsibilities include anticipating short-term borrowing needs and securing necessary funding, investing excesscash balance in short-term money market instruments.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSBILITIES
• Work with the cash managers to meet the firm’s short term funding requirement for bank accounts in Asia; monitor day-to-daycash receipts and payments particularly in stringent regulatory markets. The successful candidate will have an opportunity tobecome an expert in cash management across 16 markets in Asia Pacific• Support the growth market build out and strategic global project initiatives• Support the firm's growing bank account portfolio in the region
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree holder• Minimum of 3.5 years relevant Operations experience
