The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Treasury Management focuses on managing and optimizing our customers’ cash flow, while mitigating their operational, financial and reputational risk. We focus on creating operational efficiencies, cost savings and time savings for our customers by delivering treasury solutions through a consultative and insightful approach. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining and developing Treasury Management business for the Government Banking segment. Manages sales efforts including developing and recruiting for the team. Supports and works closely with the Sales Support team and line partners.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing business strategies and sales objectives to support team and revenue goals
  • Partnering with Government Banking offices, including related leaders and relationship managers
  • Assisting sales consultants in identifying appropriate sales strategies including developing value messages, structuring opportunities, pricing, and closing deals
  • Working with sales consultants and marketing teams on client presentations and ensuring appropriate representation at relevant industry events and conferences
  • Engaging in best and final presentations
  • Being an escalation point for sales consultants and clients on service delivery
  • Managing recruitment, training and motivation of sales teams
  • Partnering with product group to ensure customer needs are met through product enhancements, product development and product communication
  • Support and execution of Sr. Mgmt strategic initiatives
  • Ongoing growth and development of TMSCs.

Hired candidate will be located in one of the posted locations. Other locations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sales, business development, payment processing industry or treasury management


Desired Qualifications

  • Management experience for management level direct reports
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of treasury management, payment processing industry or bank operations
  • Business development, sales/treasury management, or products/services sales experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Ability to initiate action, make difficult decisions, and generate creative solutions
  • Ability to deliver dynamic presentations to business clients
  • Ability to be successful in a cross-sell and multi-level sales environment
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
  • Ability to actively participate on client calls and make presentations
  • Treasury management products or services sales experience
  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals with respect to products and/or services
  • Experience meeting customer service or customer satisfaction goals
  • Strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills
  • Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP)
  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)
  • An active Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation
  • Knowledge and understanding of selling complex treasury management solutions, preferably in corporate, upper end commercial, or GIB segments consulting
  • 3+ years of client relationship management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of middle market commercial banking
  • Knowledge and understanding of middle market corporate finance
  • Knowledge and understanding of sell side transaction process for middle market and lower middle market privately held businesses
  • Strong middle market, commercial, or corporate credit analysis/structuring skills


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated track record in business development and sales management
  • Ability to develop strong functional partnerships based on technical aptitude and professional credibility
  • Experience calling on complex companies and selling complex TM solutions
  • Knowledge of the Government Banking markets including dominant industries, local economies, partners, and client bases
  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sales, business development, payment processing industry or treasury management
  • Experience with sales and calling on middle market businesses in the Southern California market
  • Knowledge of latest banking technology trends
  • Experience with complex sales negotiation with complex organizations with many decision makers

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
