This position is for an entry-level professional in Material & Logistics, performs inventory control, purchasing and supports areas of production control. Performs billing of transportation charges, release of shipments and settling of accounts, records movement of materials, and counts stock items.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Informs sales and billing departments on transportation charges of customers' accounts to ensure accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of billing.
• Arranges for necessary shipping documentation and contacts customs officials to effect release of shipments.
• Assists on charges of all areas of production control, inventory control, and purchasing to ensure efficiency and accuracy of charges.
• Prepares monthly material and equipment report to establish the range and depth of spares, tools and test equipment.
• Issues or distributes materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
• Provides information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies. Provides information for recording movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies to ensure that materials and supplies are effectively deployed and stocked.
• Receives and counts stock items, and records data to ensure compliance and proper check and balance.
• Provides logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
• Reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment.
• Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving, or the warehouse, to production.
• Manages material inventory, supplier integration strategies (VMI/3PL/supermarkets) and import/export controls.
• Partners with Industrial Engineering on packaging strategies.

Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience is required.
