Product Development Management is a fast-paced environment where innovative thinking is prized. Our team focuses on the delivery of products or computer-based systems for external customers. We lead and deliver the entire lifecycle from product definition and planning through to production and release. We also oversee modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. And to make the whole process run smoothly and seamlessly, we’re experts in project management, from initiation through to delivery, and liaise with other departments on technical matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply broad knowledge of company’s product capabilities and competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging SSD and storage product opportunities
  • Evaluate in-depth market analysis and leads business cases for optimization of new products based on technology innovation, next-generation products or existing product alternatives
  • Be the flash storage market expert and keep up to date with technological advances
  • Oversee and drive flash storage projects through the product development phase release, including requirements gathering, business case, and internal customers adoption
  • Manages product roadmap and works to identify and scope opportunities in support of obtaining appropriate funding for new programs
  • Creates, implements and monitors plans for testing products through beta releases or pilot programs with internal product lines
  • Ensures that product features and specifications reflect internal customers’ requirements as well as market trend requirements
  • Works across all functional areas, gathering inputs, updating product plans and roadmaps, and communicating the impact of product decisions to all stakeholders
  • Collaborates with other Product Managers, BU Leaders and Engineering/ R&D leaders to align product strategies into comprehensive portfolios for the BU
  • Manages product revenue and margin, establish product pricing, monthly forecasting and contribute to business plans

Essential Requirements

  • In-depth experience with SSD and flash memory technologies as well as their application in storage and server products
  • Ability to manage products through their entire life cycle, and supports decisions regarding enhancements throughout the lifecycle until product End of Life (EOL)
  • Excellent business acumen related to business case development, market and financial analysis, competitive analysis and support requirements for field sales
  • Development of business case analysis for enhancements or new products
  • Lead requirements gathering and management; provide simple interpretation
  • Lead preparation for external and internal product events
  • Lead technical discussions regarding current product portfolio; champion product changes required to ensure product adoption by internal customers ensuring market relevance for Dell Technologies product.
  • Requires 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree

Desirable Requirements

  • Solid understanding of NVMeoF and Storage Class Memory and their application in storage and server products
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as ability to effectively present at executive levels of the organization.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Detail-oriented
