Job Description
Test, analyze, investigate, and provide solutions to deficiencies for complex F-15 airborne radar and avionics assemblies maintained by Space and Airborne Systems at the Warner Robins USAF Depot. Design, develop, and improve unit and module test program sets to correct test voids between system, unit, module, and component level test. Analyze field discrepancy reports and maintenance databases for trends. Support avionics bench hardware and software. Collect, organize, and track hardware while investigating failure trends. Interface with USAF Depot personnel to assist in avionics unit and module troubleshooting/repair and provide recommendations to improve repair cycle times.
Required Skills:- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in radar, avionics, or similar electronic systems
- Knowledgeable in reading, interpreting and understanding technical and engineering documentation, including technical data; OEM assembly drawings, schematics, processes and procedures.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment
Desired Skills:- Strong electronics background with emphasis in airborne avionics systems
- Ability to work multiple projects in an interrupt driven environment
- Experience in preparing and editing technical reports
- Very good technical writing skills
- Ability to determine root cause of failures
- Working knowledge of F-15 & F-18 family of radars
- Experience in the following Computer Languages: C/C++ Language, ATLAS416/716, LASAR, LABVIEW/CVI,MATLAB, VB/VBA/C#, FORTAN77
- Experience in USAF Automatic Tester Equipment (ATE) such as: VDATS, MMTS, ESTS
