Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Works with stakeholders to understand business drivers and requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Conducts product research keeping current on technical directions and how to best apply them to business objectives.
• Develops technical roadmap that embraces technology innovation and delivers solutions that enable and accelerate the business.
• Identifies and manages service improvements to increase customer satisfaction.
• Ensures alignment of projects and resources for on-time delivery.
• Works with appropriate delivery managers to ensure the resources are available and committed to deliver the work.
• Supports mission critical infrastructure systems in collaboration with incident and problem management teams, to ensure availability.
• Supports systems capacity and performance, creating plans for controlled growth with continuous application availability to meet the growth and objective of the business.
• Manages capital and expense expenditures to plan, and manages expense budget activities and timelines to department and corporate guidelines, while maintaining solid fiscal responsibility
• Manages relationships with our Infrastructure Engineering service providers, monitoring and enforcing SLAs of our service providers, and managing the financial activities associated with the service providers.
• Ensures that security and regulatory requirements (security, resilience, scalability, efficiency, etc..) are implemented and enforced.
• Manages systems evolution roadmap, creating and executing plans for transformation with continuous application availability to meet the growth and objective of the business.
• Directs and reviews the performance of the Infrastructure Engineering team and key staff in order to accomplish operational plans.
• Monitors and remains abreast of emerging technologies for possible introduction into the organization.
• Ensures documentation of the environment and operational process are maintained and relevant.
• Plans, develops, and designs new projects and maintenance activities, including policies and procedures, operational improvements, and evaluates new technology integration.
• Supervises and provides technical leadership and guidance to technical staff and vendors; ensures compliance with policies and regulations, and that all issues are addressed and resolved.
• Guides and supports the Infrastructure Engineering team to achieve performance targets and objectives.
