Job Description

  • Ensures or participates in ensuring ongoing compliance with established departmental procedures and policies.
  • Recommends constructive solutions to scheduling conflicts or resource constraints.
  • Obtains, verifies, compiles and distributes information from internal systems.
  • Implements routine and semi-routine information on a regular basis.
  • Contributes to departmental efficiencies through personal time management.
  • Year-Round Responsibilities:
    • Use knowledge of trends in marketing and promotion to develop and execute engaging pre-event promotions that add value to the overall X Games marketing plan.
    • Provide recaps of each promotion to relay to X Games marketing and management teams.
    • Work in conjunction with business operations and operations to deliver marketing needs for each event.
    • Manage and accurately capture all pre-event ticket and credential requests for the X Games marketing and event development departments.
    • Assist Senior Manager with development of local marketing plan, identifying areas of opportunity for promotion through local knowledge.
  • In-Event Responsibilities:
    • Assist with all pre-event ticket and credential delivery and redemption during the event.
    • Coordinate with X Games marketing team and Corporate Citizenship to execute any outreach or Kids’ Day events at the event.
    • Help manage all aspects of tours and contest winners attending the event.
    • General support for all marketing needs.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Minneapolis and action sports markets.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Position requires organizational skills, corporate confidentiality, attention to detail, ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and work independently.
  • Ability to work with various levels of the organization, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to a high performing team.
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in the action sports industry, youth marketing, athletes and trends.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
The Recurring - Marketing Coordinator, X Games position will serve as the in-market promotional and marketing support for both X Games Minneapolis and Aspen. This position will be executing all pre-event promotions, grass roots marketing efforts, assist in building and supporting local relationships to enhance marketing and promotional efforts in Aspen and Minneapolis, working with civic and local partners in advance of the event, contribute to the development of the spectator guide and event app by working with ESPN Sales, Operations, Event Development and all X Games groups, support ticketing program for both Aspen and Minneapolis, tracking & delivering promotional tickets, total ticket inventory, barter deals, and serve as liaison to business operations for marketing, providing all event needs including offices, travel, operational and logistical needs.

Required Education :
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Education :
