Swedish Cherry Hill is looking for a Stroke Data Analyst (1.0 FTE, Day) to work in Neuroscience Stroke Clinic at Swedish Cherry Hil l in Seattle, WA.

The Stroke Data Analyst supports Swedish Neuroscience strategic goals and priorities in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of stroke and telestroke data in order to improve the quality and value of care that we deliver to our stroke patients. The data analyzed includes ischemic stroke and TIA, hemorrhagic stroke, cerebrovascular neurosurgery, and neurointerventional stroke patients.

  • Mine system decision support tools (e.g. Epic, Premier, Hyperion) to summarize data, report results using SQL, spreadsheets, statistical programs or other reporting software
  • Work with system analyst in developing SQL queries and automating reports where appropriate and opportunity exists
  • Prepare documentation on data collection, report writing and automated processes
  • Validate data and recommend process improvements that enhance data integrity
  • Develop quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a background in biostatistics, epidemiology, and/or nursing or equivalent educ/experience
  • Three (3) years experience in writing SQL queries.
  • Two (2) years experience with Epic Clarity.
  • One (1) year experience in data analyses and report writing.
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficient.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Microsoft Access proficiency.
  • Experience in building Smart Data Elements in Epic.
  • Experience in healthcare systems.
  • Experience in quality improvement processes.
