Summary

The Talent Development Sr. Professional will lead training for the Marketing Field Experience Team (FieldX). The FieldX team is made up of approx. 35 field marketing

Professionals that are based remotely across key cities in North America. These field marketers act as a marketing quarterback for the UA brand in their city focusing on 3 main areas of business: Product/Brand Education, Consumer Insights and Activating the Community. S/he will provide support on training current and new Teammates on the Field Experience Team. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for the implementation and evolution of a comprehensive trainings for the Field Experience Team including field Train-the-Trainer sessions. Following principles of adult learning theory and Under Armour’s training standards, the Talent Development Sr. Professional will be expected to deliver high energy, high quality, on Brand training through multiple learning methods. The role presents a significant opportunity for a highly skilled professional to provide direction and guidance on leading training practices and techniques related to product, sales, consumer insights, retail and career development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Evolve and implement a training program for UA’s FieldX Experience Team including analysis, implementation and evaluation
  • Develop training materials aligned with adult learning principles for field training, including train-the-trainer sessions and field training guides
  • ead training and communication to the field on new products & technologies – including the development and distribution of instructor-led training guides, and communication of online training, print materials, etc.
  • Leads, at a minimum, quarterly training to review key product launches, develops and maintain a rich always on training portal for access to product knowledge when needed ad hoc by field team
  • Partners closely with the FieldX Leadership team to build and execute Semi-Annual FIeldX Summits bringing together the entire team to be trained on seasonal initiatives.
  • Align closely with the wholesale, retail and corporate team to develop a training timeline that meets the department’s need
  • Assess appropriate training delivery methods based on results of a comprehensive needs analysis
  • Conduct needs analysis in the field to appropriately tailor content to the audience while always ensuring our key products and innovations are well understood
  • Organize and facilitate train the trainer sessions to Field Experience Team in the field as well as Store leadership in key Wholesale accounts
  • Assess teammates’ mastery of new skills and provide related feedback to key stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of materials and delivery
  • Understand the impact on sales and brand perception the increased product knowledge is achieving, adjust for any opportunities to maximize sales
  • Conduct field visits to ensure team is performing at peak capability and coach team to enhance performance
  • Train the Field Experience Team in local markets to schedule and plan train the trainer clinics to keep UA top of mind in the market
  • Partner with Corporate Talent Development team to share learings and cascade information/trainings when applicable

Travel: up to 30% domestic travel

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of training and sales/retail experience

Preferred Skills

  • Previous retail/sales experience
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and innovative training delivery methods
  • Skilled in instructional design methodology (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
  • Adept facilitator with superior oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in online learning authoring software (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
  • Viewed as a trusted advisor with a successful track record in building and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of the organization
