Aon is looking for a Business Development Professional

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting our Risk Solutions group in New York.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospect: Partner with senior producer to identify largest opportunities based on market data; Generate leads through new channels and prioritize based on analytics; Identify opportunities to introduce new solutions to existing clients in other segments of the business.
  • Research and Secure: Partner with producer to review the prospect’s risk factors and try to predict their needs/pain points; Build relationship mapping to find a connection to the buyer; Prepare for and participate in a Strategic Account Review (SAR) for all in-scope existing accounts; Build Aon IQ to find key insights, new capabilities, and prospect-ready materials; Work with top producer to validate targets and ensure they are properly pre-qualified.
  • Manage and Advance: Project manage the pursuit of new clients for top producer; Use Aon IQ to drive Aon United and involve colleagues across different disciplines and segments; Collaborate with key stakeholders to fill out RedSheet with a specific focus on mapping out all the client decision makers and stakeholders; Refine key insights and recommendations based on the prospect’s needs; Be the key point of contact on RFP to ensure that Producer’s input is incorporated and best team is assembled.
  • Present: Project manage the preparation of any RFP responses; Engage and provide initial briefings to all key RFP team members; Project manage presentation dry-runs.
  • Negotiate and Engage: Provide support to Senior Producer to close the deal; Prepare for ongoing account servicing and Land and Expand Strategy; Coordinate with AE to ensure smooth onboarding experience; Ensure opportunity is correctly closed and that all parties have properly received credit for their participation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related major, with Sales and Risk and Insurance Management/Business related curriculum preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales and Marketing experience in related fie
  • Solid collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and relationship skills.
