As a Demand & Operations Lead, you will manage the Supply Chain systems and processes for the ME cluster, reporting to the ME Cluster Supply Chain Head.
You will be responsible for ensuring all relevant Supply Chain systems and processes are appropriately developed, maintained and improved, including demand forecasting, supply of product to the markets, new product launches, recalls, management of customers, customer complaints, order processing, inventory management & reconciliation, and day to day management of 3PL & Customs agents.
You will be responsible for communicating Supply and Demand information to SC in a timely manner and liaising appropriately with QA, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial and other relevant functions to resolve supply issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities:
Demand Planning:
- To Lead & be accountable for the monthly Demand planning cycle with key stakeholders (Commercial, Marketing, Finance) for short-term and long-term demand planning for Takeda products.
- Consolidate and review the rolling 36 months forecast for Takeda portfolio in the ERP for both private and tender business in the relevant markets.
- Proactively working on the conversion of the IMS to TMS based on the approved forecast that was finalized in the monthly Demand review meetings as well monthly stock status.
Supply Planning:
- Accountable in securing the supply replenishment for Takeda’s products that are to be inline with the sales and inventory targets.
- Perform monthly allocation overwrites which are the basis for monthly.
- Proactively manage the supply issues in order to make sure that markets are not out of stock and impacting the patient needs.
- Work proactively with Commercial and Finance in order to mitigate risks of having distress inventory.
- Monthly distributors inventory assessment to support with the replenishment process.
Product Change Management (PCM):
- Responsible for the planning of New product launches, changes in sources, registration timelines etc. with Regulatory, Commercial, Marketing and Plants.
Customer Support:
- Manage Customer Support systems to ensure availability and reliability.
- Manage Regional/Cluster Logistics processes in support of reliable supply of product to Customer and Patient
- Manage Internal and External Reporting as required to support compliant reliable supply of product to Customer and Patient
- Manage interface systems with key Distribution partners
Continuous Improvement:
- Assemble/lead cross functional teams/sub-teams to resolve systemic and systematic network issues across various areas of technical and life cycle complexity that ultimately support product in the market where poor decisions impact brand availability and sales.
- Lead projects in support of continuous improvement of systems and processes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, Supply Chain or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in various supply chain management roles within the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries.
- Current/Previous experience in Middle East region is a MUST.
Desired:
- Strong knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, customer service.
- Knowledge of ERP systems including packages relating to supply chain management.
- Aware of different aspects of regulatory compliance that impact a pharmaceutical supply chain. This can include but is not limited to GxP considerations and controlled substance regulations.
- Ability to think “outside the box”
- Effective written and oral communication skills are required to interact with various levels of management to deliver the required targets/outcomes
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership ability in driving change within an organization. This could include systems, processes or tools to drive success
- Able to recognize the importance of meeting business needs and balance cost, quality and customer service
