The BAE Systems site in York, PA supporting Combat Vehicles is seeking a Planning Support Specialist to join our team on the 2nd shift. In this position, the Planning Support Specialist:

• Manages all incoming material transactions;
• Communicates priorities and coordinates movement of expedited material through receiving and receiving inspection processes;
• Troubleshoots and resolves all exception situations that occur during receiving, storing, cycle counting, picking, and material movement activities;
• Coordinates movement of expedited material from Warehouse to point of use;
• Investigates, and reconciles, all receiving and location discrepancies;
• Assists in reconciliation of Warehouse processes, transactions, and inventory;
• Prepares, sorts, assembles, and distributes storing and pick documents to support daily Warehouse activities;
• Works closely with Materials Managers, Warehouse Supervisors, Planning staff, bargaining unit personnel, and Manufacturing Supervisors to ensure timely, and accurate parts delivery;
• Communicates with Purchasing to understand incoming material requirements, as well as resolve receiving issues;
• Maintains accurate records of materials movement and discrepancies;
• Gathers information and prepares reports as needed;
• Works on special projects, as assigned, which may involve the application of technical, or similar knowledge/skills pertinent to the function involved;
• Performs administrative functions in support of the Materials organization;
• Maintains a safe working environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.

Typical Education & Experience Typically a High School Diploma and 2 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel);
• Ability to interpret and manipulate complex data and/or systems;
• Analytical skills to review, process, and generate complex data and reports;
• Ability to use independent judgment;
• Organized and able to set priorities and multi-task.

Preferred Skills and Education

• ORACLE ERP system knowledge a plus
