Manager, Demand Planning
Job Summary:
Forecast product demand to the brand/sku level for the PPD Brands utilizing a statistical and collaborative planning tool. Integrate business strategies to develop 15+ month demand plans with supporting analyses and assumptions for use in integrated business planning/sales and operations planning, supply planning and financial planning. Facilitate the S&OP and demand submission for key accounts. Planning of Launch and Promotional activity including dimensioning, allocations, analysis and potential cannibalization. Liaise with Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance organizations to facilitate the planning process, including running cross-functional Customer Consensus meetings.
Leverage downstream brand data to drive forecast process. Establish a CPFR process with key accounts.
As needed, provide forecast at a lower level of detail to support Demand Planning processes. Serve as Demand Planning representative as needed for Project Teams.
Key accountabilities:
-Provide regular and ad-hoc analyses (e.g. in-month projections, anticipated account inventory buy-downs, etc.) to gain endorsement to the forecast at the Customer/Brand level, with a focus on Regular Flow Business, Promotions, and New Product Launches.
-Bias and forecast accuracy to be maintained within a tolerance.
-Drive meetings to alignment, using analysis and facilitation, and influencing skills.
-Follow up with clear and accurate messaging of expected volumes, vulnerabilities and opportunities as well as underlying assumptions.
- Provide continuous improvement to reporting (channel brand summaries automated to lower levels, streamlined in-month reporting and projections, etc.).
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Experience and job requirements:
-A minimum of 6 years of forecasting or equivalent Planning experience.
-Excellent math and critical thinking skills required, as well as the ability to communicate at the appropriate level of detail or summarization, given the audience and objective.
-Proven results running meetings where cross-functional decisions are needed and reached using analysis and facilitation skills.
-Mid to advanced Excel skills.
