Job summary

The Red Hat Global Learning Services (GLS) team is searching for a Sales Operations Analyst to join our Global Business Development (GBD) team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your analytical expertise to further the GLS Global Sales team’s efficiency and performance. You will analyze key activities and processes, recommend and create processes, guidelines and tools for improving efficiency and performance of GLS Sales teams, and work with the global business development leader and legal to create contracts and other legal documents to support the sale of Red Hat’s learning offerings. This is a key role in helping to improve the sales process of GLS, and you will be a center of excellence for analysis, reporting, contracts, and process and workflow improvement.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Work with the head of GBD to create a process and guidelines for a global deal desk function for evaluating GLS global and cross region deals; work with Sales teams, Regional Bid Desks, and Order Management to implement this initiative and manage the process with head of GBD
  • Manage the GLS pricing process including price book, and pricing analysis and process
  • Manage the GLS SKU process, including SKU creation, tracking, and retirement
  • Work with the head of Global Business Development and Red Hat legal to provide support in the writing, review and management of GLS contracts and other legal documents
  • Work with Operations, other Sales teams, Order Management, and IT to understand, evaluate, and improve sales processes to reduce inefficiency and barriers in the processes
  • Create Salesforce.com (SFDC), BusinessObjects, learning management system (LMS), and other reports and dashboards to monitor and communicate sales performance across the organization
  • Assist in troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes
  • Build strong relationships and work collaboratively with business partners, e.g., Business Intelligence, Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, to deliver key business insights using meaningful analyses
  • Work on other projects as directed by head of GBD

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, statistics or math; MBA is a plus
  • 1-3 year(s) of experience working in sales analysis or business analysis with exposure to sales
  • Extensive experience with using SFDC including creating dashboards and reporting is required
  • Superior Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver key information in both summary and detailed formats as required
  • Prior experience in writing, reviewing, and managing contracts
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-discipline and self-direction and limited supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling many projects and responsibilities with the ability to re-prioritize effectively when needed
  • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships across multiple departments
  • Occasionally will need to work outside of business hours, early and late, to collaborate with key Red Hat and partner personnel in international locations
  • Prior experience with Apptus quote to close software is a plus
  • Prior experience with Tableau software is a plus
  • Ability to travel 15-20% of the time including international travel
