The Eastern Region of Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Modernization Superintendent to drive productivity and promote innovative solutions in a very active market.

The modernization superintendent will have direct responsibility for the modernization business, including field operations, customer satisfaction and overall general business management. The successful candidate will be instrumental in aggressively growing the profitability to meet or exceed business objectives along with fostering a team building environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directing the performance of modernization installations
  • Meeting all financial performance targets including profit and working capital
  • Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others in contact with the job
  • Maintaining customer quality assurance; emphasis on safety, managing the expenditure of labor, materials and other assets
  • Improving efficiencies, overseeing crew development and performance to estimate.
  • Support the sale of equipment upgrades
  • Accurately analyze situations and assist in developing contingencies for estimates
  • Field safety audits, job site inspections, and developing site safety/logistics plans

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading field associates in new equipment and modernization functions preferred,
  • Strong knowledge of elevators, elevator service contracting, and elevator service estimating desired,
  • Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software- word, excel, power point, and outlook,
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills and able to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment,
  • Self-motivated individuals who have the ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities are a must,

EDUCATION:

  • High school education or equivalent,
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
