Job summary

The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Consultant with significant experience with the Red Hat Process Automation Manager offering, including business process management (BPM), business rules management (BRM), and JEE to join us in Puteaux, France. In this role, you will expand your core base of expertise while traveling to customer sites in France, promoting Red Hat's solutions. You'll play a key role in our customers' evolution in enterprise development and help make our solutions both practical and workable for their businesses. As a Consultant, you will guide the on-site implementation of Red Hat's middleware technologies like Red Hat Process Automation Manager and Red Hat Decision Manager. You'll work to gain an understanding of customer infrastructure and business needs, make recommendations that resolve customer issues, and help them make strategic decisions. You'll then build enterprise applications and capabilities around cloud technologies to streamline development and allow for continuous feature release of applications.

Primary job responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer sites, addressing the technical, development, or strategic IT requirements
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, implementation, testing, customer training, and deployment of open source solutions
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data is required
• Understand industry practices and Red Hat's policies and procedures
• Demonstrate good judgement in selecting methods to obtain solutions

Required skills

• 3+ years of experience working directly with enterprise stakeholders on a range of development and deployment projects
• 3+ years of experience with and advanced knowledge of middleware, Red Hat Process Automation Manager, BPM, business rules management systems (BRMS), and JEE, including enterprise web or middleware development project experience
• Deep experience with at least one of the major middleware solutions; knowledge of Red Hat Middleware is preferred, but experience with Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, Tibco, or webMethods is also acceptable
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, object-oriented design, and development principles, including enterprise design patterns
• Understanding of Java frameworks, libraries, or tools like Spring Boot, Quarkus, Apache Maven, Eclipse, or Apache Tomcat
• Good working knowledge of microservices or container and cloud solutions or architecture
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
• Fluent language skills in French and English
• Eligibility to work in France
