TEST SPECIALIST (DRAGON SPACECRAFT)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Improving the overall efficiency of Acceptance Test Procedures by identifying processes that can be improved and communicating it with the engineering team(s). These can include a new fixture, better work order instructions, or improving the ergonomics of a test cell
  • Support qualification/dev testing as well as production testing whenever support is needed. This includes identifying the test assets needed for a test, properly and safely setting up for the test, executing and monitoring the test.
  • Creating training packages and training the production team to properly set up and perform tests. The training packages can include training EM’s, bridge training courses, or training videos.
  • Validate test assets and test plans prior to using them for production purposes
  • Maintenance and calibration of test assets on a regular basis to avoid long delays and/or last minute surprises when there is a need for the test assets
  • Troubleshooting and properly documenting a test anomaly/issue
  • Creating/editing test plans and automation test sequences (TOR’s)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 3+ years of experience working in a hands-on technical position
  • 1+ years of experience working with build, operation, or testing equipment

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience running tests with LabView
  • Ability to read, and understand operating system schematics and drawings
  • Knowledge of hazardous systems and PPE requirements

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours minimum
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and able to maneuver in tight spaces
  • Must be able to work all shift hours, able to work overtime and weekend as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted.

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
