AREA FP&A Sr Analyst

Major Responsibilities

• Support consolidation and analysis of the Quarterly RLBE and Annual Planning processes, including preparation and review of the MENAP Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Currency Exchange and Risks/Opportunities.
  • Perform validation of key financial assumptions, including Market and Share, Foreign Currency Exchange and SG&A allocation.
• Prepare analysis of MENAP monthly and quarterly financial results; including Investor Relations, Margin and Profitability, and management reporting packages, highlighting and investigating key variances.
• Coordinate the month-end close process, assisting affiliates as appropriate to ensure accurate results and financial records. Ensuring that all expenditures are appropriately booked and are in compliance with GAAP and Abbott policies.
• Support affiliates to resolve issues requiring elevation or investigation across a wide range of topics, including transfer price, COGS and TCGM and HOST Analytics planning software.
• Support review and valuation of Area Innovation, E-Commerce, Digital Spend and Commercial Projects.
• Coordinate Meeting and Travel request requirements, ensuring that all deadlines are being met both internally and vertically with proper review and compliance.
• Coordinating with Commercial in providing them with support necessary to understand their analytics.
• Responsible for collection, analysis and interpretation of information to support Area Management team with understanding of any issues and support for presentations. In addition to comply with Division/Corporate information requests.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to manage MENAP Area departmental budgets providing appropriate analysis and monthly LBE forecasting of financial position. In addition, responsible for timely and accurate completion of month end close activities and forecasting.
• Responsible for balance sheet reporting, including DOH and DSO each month for financial close as well as reporting and explaining trends for monthly Area S&OP meeting.
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Area on global systems such as CCI/HFM and Host Analytics, providing support to affiliate users as first point of contact.
• Proactively seek to improve and enhance Area financial and business processes. Streamlining processes and identifying opportunities for savings across all areas of the business.
• Ensure that financial information is communicated on time, the information is accurate, complete and policies and standards are met.
• Maintain an effective system of internal financial controls. Responsible for assuring that Division and Corporate accounting and financial policies, procedures and practices are adhered to during the course of operations.
• Effectively manages communication with and understands cultural differences in the affiliates to ensure alignment with Area, Division and Corporate expectations.
