Job Description

In view of Southeast Asia’s growth, we are now looking for a Sales Coordinator to join the Studio Entertainment Team in Singapore. Working closely with and reporting into the Sales Manager you will help to ensure that the commercial value of all Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures (WDSMP) theatrical releases in Singapore is fully exploited.
WDSMP distributes all theatrical titles from, among others, Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight and Blue Sky Animation. The department collaborates closely with the Studio Marketing, Partnerships, and Finance teams to guarantee that Disney films are given the best possible theatrical release. The sales environment can be pressured, numbers oriented and frequently deadline driven.
The role requires an individual to provide the support that the Sales & Distribution team will need in both internal relationships with other lines of business and external relationships with key exhibitors.
  • Prior experience in sales coordination and database management is preferred.
  • Deeper knowledge and expertise in Excel would be an advantage
  • A genuine interest, knowledge and passion for films from across the industry.
  • Ability to effectively work within a small team, understanding roles and personalities to maximize efficiency.
  • Analytical eye and good head for numbers.
  • Ability to work on intensive number crunching and data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive and creative approach to problem solving, actively seeking to make improvements to departmental processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly pressured, target driven sales environment.
  • Proficiency in office productivity software including but not limited to Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Provide administrative support for all Singapore theatrical distribution efforts
  • Provide logistics support for pre-release bookings in addition to press, multimedia, exhibitor & premiere screenings
  • Update and maintain (and, where necessary, create) departmental databases, relevant spreadsheets, systems and platforms, as directed by the Sales Manager and/or Studio Head.
  • Manage and distribute release calendars and other weekly documents to relevant parties
  • Work with the studio finance team to produce comparison spreadsheets for key releases
  • Raise departmental purchase orders relating to Singapore distribution business, should the need arise
  • Liaise with the Box Office tracking authority (Rentrak) when needed
  • Produce relevant digital drive movement reports – liaising with labs on DCP numbers and delivery
  • Act on digital key queries and follow up on missing digital drives or keys
  • Potential scope for co-ordinating repertory bookings of catalogue Disney titles
  • Assist the Studio Entertainment team in conducting cinema checks
  • Coordinate events involving the Sales team
  • All other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the Sales Manager/Studio Head
  • Manage data input and all associated administrative tasks arising from the above

Preferred Education :
  • Prior experience in sales coordination and database management is preferred.
