Job Description The role of the Human Resources Summer Intern will be to provide HR support to all departments within Jacksonville Ship Repair. The intern will report to the HR Manager and will work directly with the HR team, as well as employees and leaders of all departments across the organization.
The candidates should have the ability to perform entry-level human resources functions.

• Assist with Labor Relations and support HR business partner with employee relation investigations.
• Assist with daily and weekly reports and distribute accordingly to the leadership team.
• Assist with the new hire orientation process, including scheduling and coordination with several department functions.
• Additional job duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education • The successful summer intern candidate must be enrolled in and actively pursuing completion of a 4-yr degree and have completed at least 65 credit hours of related course work in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Must be able to work independently and in a fast paced work environment.
• Solid computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include the ability to prepare professional business letters and memorandums.
• Must be able to multi-task and work efficiently under deadlines.
Preferred Skills and Education

• Other desirable qualities: sound professional judgment, business acumen, attention to detail, ability to plan and organize.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written skills.
• GPA of 3.0 or better.
