As the Financial controller, you will be given the opportunity to help scale the Finance function and build a high performing Business Controlling team, to control and improve our operational performance across departments. You will work hand-in-hand with our Finance Manager in charge of Accounting and our future FP&A analyst, to ensure the robustness of our actual management reporting and forecasting, and the reconciliation with our accounting reports. You will join a team of 4 talented people (and more coming!) to help you succeed in our ambitious mission in a fast growing and highly competitive environment.

⛳️ Your responsibilities

• Build Qonto’s controlling foundations : You will design and implement a robust and efficient cost accounting system
• Build trust with data : You will enhance the accuracy of our reported financial results and operating team finance reporting, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
• Set-up reporting production control processes : You will implement and operate a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to improve Qonto’s performance and mitigate risks, and drive financial accountability across Qonto
• Leverage data insights : You will measure independently our KPI and compare with Finance team, and analyze our margins in detail
• Challenge operating teams : You will challenge each Team Leads assumptions to ensure integrity and quality of the actuals reporting vs. forecast

🏅About You

• Experience : You have 4+ years of proven experience in Financial Control with ability to influence strategic decisions
• Accounting knowledge : You have strong banking and applied accounting knowledge (PCEC norms) strong understanding and communication skills of financial performance and risks
• Team player : You are able to work strategically and collaboratively across departments as you will a key point of contact between many teams/ departments
• Mastery : You are familiar with Business Intelligence IT solutions. You excel at using Microsoft Office (Excel in particular), strong communication skills and excellent organization skills to plan and prioritize work so that it is efficient and effective
• “Get things done” attitude : You are hands-on, resilient and willing to give everything a go from manual tasks to larger projects
• Languages : You speak at least both French and English
• Education : You have a Master’s degree with a specialization in Accounting and/ or Controlling, preferably with experience within a banking or financial services environment
