Boeing Flight Services (BFS) is an integral part of the Boeing Global Organisation. BFS provides high quality training and flight services solutions to support the safe and efficient operation of Flight Simulators.

We are currently seeking suitable candidates for the position of Simulator Technician to be based at Brisbane Airport.

In this role you be responsible for maintaining Training Devices in accordance with regulatory and company standards. There is a requirement to provide professional technical support and ensure these Training Devices are available at all times to Training Centre Customers.

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform pre-flight tasks
• Perform preventative maintenance functions
• Run QTG and automated testing
• Perform training device cockpit configuration changes
• Conduct troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities on training devices
• Perform training device updates (software and hardware)
• Ensure documentation procedures are completed
• Interface with external manufacturers, suppliers and customers
• Provide total customer support service that can include accompanying customers through instructor station training and during dry operations

We are looking for the successful candidates to meet the following criteria:

Education:

Diploma in Aero skills (Avionics), Electronics, or other equivalent engineering qualification.

Experience:

• Advanced training in the skills, disciplines or processes used on the maintenance and operation of commercial flight simulators, with a minimum of 3 years current or previous experience
• Good understanding of Simulator and Aircraft systems
• Good understanding of Electronic and Hydraulic systems
• Good understanding and awareness of EHS compliance
• Ability to work on a rotating roster shift basis (24 hours, 7 days per week)
