The Insights Manager, Brand Partnerships, will partner with Instacart’s most strategic consumer packaged goods advertisers (CPGs) in better understanding what is driving their business on Instacart, the largest online grocery delivery platform in the U.S. Working with Instacart’s Director of Insights, the Insights Manager will partner with leading brands to understand the trends impacting their business on Instacart including sales, customer, and share performance. To do so, the Insights Manager will use native Instacart tools and analyses to uncover data-backed insights and partner with the Brand Partnerships sales and account management team to make recommendations. As part of the role, the Insights Manager will need to drive insights from complex data sets, present them in a logical and compelling structure both written and orally, and answer questions from clients.

Your day to day...

  • Use analytical tools and techniques to reveal insights about CPG partners’ business on Instacart, codify insights into compelling communication vehicles such as emails, presentations, and meetings, and partner with sales and account management team to make actionable recommendations to meet CPG and Instacart goals
  • Ability to work independently as the key resource day to day for strategic CPG partner analytic needs
  • Ability to identify the right survey and custom research opportunities for our CPG Partners
  • Integrates data from a variety of sources to identify key trends and emerging solutions for the partner and customer
  • Aid in the development of case studies, heightening the Instacart Analytics equity in the e-commerce analytics space
  • Applies the full suite of tools available against business issues

You have...

  • At least three years consumer packaged goods industry experience; category management experience and/or e-commerce experience a plus
  • Strong analytic / problem solving capability
  • Strong syndicated and panel data knowledge
  • Good project management and training skills
  • Ability to comprehend and sell concepts within the context of Brand Partnerships
  • Ability to learn and apply different software applications
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to analyze the business from a CPG perspective, identify the key business drivers and quantify their impact on the business, deliver business insights, make actionable recommendations to grow the business
  • Understanding of application of primary and secondary research to drive recommendations and enhance strategic nature of partnerships
  • Leadership skills in identification of and addressing business opportunities
  • Innovation and creativity in the development of selling stories for key business initiatives
  • Strong written and oral communication capabilities
  • Experience with building presentations either in Google Slides (preferred) or PowerPoint (acceptable)
  • Experience working with large data sets

Nice to Have but Not Required

  • Experience working with Tableau
  • Experience building Tableau dashboards
