Responsibilities

Tax compliance which includes data analysis, research, return preparation, timely filing and payment of the resulting liabilities.

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

• Functional Competencies

• General Analysis

· Gathers and analyzes data needed to prepare tax returns accurately and on time with very limited supervision

· Forecast tax liabilities for tax planning, budget, treasury and possible tax savings

· Assist in establishing procedures regarding new tax compliance positions and jurisdiction requirements

• Tax Compliance

· Reviews and verifies data, reports, and returns for accuracy to avoid under or overpayment of taxes and fines with limited supervision

· Assist with audit research; assist audit Team in preparation of tax forms

· Collaborates with internal and external groups to resolve inquiries and issues to support compliance, processes and procedures

• Tax Law

· Research tax law, rules, regulations, and GAAP to identify tax positions that are more complex with limited assistance from others on sources and/or interpretation of law

· Research and resolve internal/external inquiries and tax jurisdiction notices

in accounting, finance, economics or taxation.

Master’s degree in accounting or taxation or Juris Doctorate, preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

2 Years

2 years corporate tax, accounting or finance experience, public accounting firm experience or Juris Doctor required.

Tax accounting experience

Preferred

Big 4 accounting firm or large corporate tax experience highly preferred.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

• CPA, CMA, CMI or JD preferred

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

• Ability to perform work duties from desk/office work area for extended periods of time.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

• Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information.

• Must have flexibility to work extended hours during the week and weekend, including Company holidays, during quarterly close or special projects.
