Junior Project Manager - Tech for Social Good
About the Tech for Social Good Team:
Tech for Social Good (T4SG) focuses on creating an environment across Global Technology (50,000 employees) that welcomes and celebrates diverse talent, and is committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work.
Current programs include Force for Good, Code for Good and Youth Programs. Force for Good is an 8 month experiential learning and development program that aligns teams of JPMC technologists with socially focused organisations to build sustainable tech solutions to help organizations better deliver their missions.
Role Overview:
Force for Good provides JPMC’s entry-level technology talent the platform to build and deliver sustainable technology solutions using agile best practices. The programme also provides senior technologists with an opportunity to mentor junior technologists and hone their own leadership skills. This Force for Good Programme Associate Manager will oversee a portfolio of Technology Pro Bono projects across EMEA with a primary focus on projects based in Glasgow . The Program Associate will also support the global team on various program related workstreams.
Regular travel will be required across the year between Tech Centers to support execution of key milestone events (e.g. kick-off, showcase etc.)
Areas of Responsibilities
The role will cover the following areas of responsibilities:
PROGRAM COORDINATION and EXECUTION
Support the execution of all Force for Good activities in a cycle, including key project management office tasks such planning and status reporting.
COMMUNICATION
Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and comfortable with public speaking, leading webinars, large conference calls, and being in front of and presenting to large audiences.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Support the portfolio management of 25-30 technology projects, working closely with the internal partners and senior stakeholders across all regions, to ensure successful delivery of programme.
Build relationship with nonprofits and social enterprises to to source appropriately scoped projects and manage ongoing program partnership.
RISK MANAGEMENT
Monitoring and escalation of project status and projects that might be at risk. Identifying mitigation plans with project teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to satisfaction.
REPORTING
Continuous monitoring of projects through analytics and check-ins, tracking of key performance indicators, including feedback from participants, and providing reporting on the overall programme status of the portfolio.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Support the Global Force for Good lead in evolving global programme strategy, e.g. diversification of project portfolio
