Job Title: Program Manager – Ariba
Location: Atlanta, GA
Reports to: Ariba Program Lead
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the day to day project management of the Ariba program at Newell Brands. Newell Brands will drive it’s Source-to-Pay transformation by implementing a complete suite of Ariba offerings (Sourcing, Contract Management, Buying, Invoicing and Supply Chain Collaboration) to improve the company’s cashflow by helping to control spend, extend payables and lower on hand inventory.
Program Planning
Work closely with program initiative leaders, process stakeholders and system integrator to develop and administer a milestone driven plan associated with the program.
Program Execution
Handles key strategic and day-to-day operational responsibilities of cross functional program teams (Procurement, GBS, IT, Finance, Tax, Legal). Supports project teams in driving to consistently high-quality outputs with clear values and high-impact for the enterprise. Identifies and manages program initiatives on the critical path to completion. Identifies, manages and resolves interdependencies, issues and conflicts within and between various project teams. Proactively identifies key risks and ensures appropriate risk mitigation plans are in place. Plays an active role in managing internal and external stakeholder expectations.
Designs and implements simple, effective tracking and reporting mechanisms for use by project teams and program leadership. Monitors and reports on progress, traction, budget performance, risks and integration across the program including all key stakeholders. Helps to create project status reports and owns the format of these deliverables. Tracks and monitors program milestones and deliverables.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related field, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
• 6+ years of SAP Ariba module experience, preferred
• Excellent Project Management Skills. Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages. Drives accountability through effective project management. PMP certification preferred
• Functional knowledge of source to pay, procurement, and catalog management software package being deployed (SAP Ariba)
• Minimum 3-4 full life-cycle implementation experience
• Excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment and to work and collaborate with others, to consider the needs of all affected groups, and to build/leverage relationships across functions and organizations to achieve business results.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Led or helped lead Procurement Transformation programs
• Strong leadership presence and experience with creating executive-level presentations
