The Reliability Engineer will be responsible for improving the reliability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, and safety/security systems by incorporating good engineering practices and the principles of Reliability Centered Maintenance. This position identifies improvement opportunities and ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget. This includes identifying and recommending the best business proposition, development of a project plan, and delivering the project plan to achieve business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain frequent (monthly) review of site maintenance metrics to assess maintenance effectiveness and efficiency together with site Facilities and Engineering functions.
  • Drive enhancement based on KPI’s and develop adequate measures for continuous improvement.
  • Investigate equipment failures by utilizing RCA tools such as 5-Why and Why-Tree templates and drive corrective actions.
  • Management and execution of projects to include scope definition and control, stakeholder alignment, project planning, resource & risk management, project leadership, team development, and communication.
  • Life Cycle Management of critical systems and equipment is managed appropriately using a risk-based approach
  • Participate in planning, implementation, development of risk mitigation strategies, and ensure quality of site projects through testing and validation activities. Exhibit strong facilitation skills to drive teams to deliver the results / conclusions, manage conflicts, and deliver solutions.
  • Manage and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including systematically defining, developing, monitoring, and refining the process.
  • Training and certification (as appropriate) in the operation of thermographic (infra-red) cameras and equipment, vibration analysis equipment, and ultrasonic equipment preferred.
  • Escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders; lead delivery of mitigations and contingency planning.
  • Timely and effective verbal and written communication to teams and to stakeholders.
  • Manage Facilities and reliability related projects and processes.
Qualifications:Education:
  • Bachelors degree required

Required:

  • Minimum of three (3) of Reliability Engineering experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology, nuclear, or petrochemical industry. is required.
  • Experience in leading and working on cross-functional teams supporting technical projects is required.

Preferred:

  • Green belt and Lean experience preferred.
  • Risk assessment experience preferred.
