Boeing Defense, Space & Security’s (BDS) Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) program is an air-defense, missile system designed to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and advanced aircraft where Boeing is the original engineering manufacturer of the seeker. Boeing’s seekers provide active data to the PAC-3 missile which enables it to acquire, intercept and destroy threats using hit-to-kill technology. The PAC-3 Seeker team is a cross functional, highly skilled, motivated group embracing the beliefs that focused safety, execution, LEAN manufacturing and business practices will secure our future and well-being, driving our product to be the seeker of choice for the PAC-3 program and future generations of weapon systems.

The PAC-3 program is looking for a Senior Lead Systems Architect. This position is located at the Boeing Jetplex facility in Huntsville, Alabama.

Position Responsibilities:

• Sustainment of existing PAC-3 seeker technical architectures
• Development of new seeker technical architectures to meet future threats and customer needs
• Develop new design implementation processes and procedures
• Technical oversight of performance and verification of requirement compliance and problem resolution
• Over-site of technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
• Lead resolution of complex cross-functional technical issues amongst multiple diverse stakeholders
• Technical development, implementation and maintenance of rigorous processes, tools, schedules and metrics
• Ensure engineering rigor and quality is embedded in delivered products to the customer
• Maintaining current data and providing status on technical and schedule performance issues

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Minimum technical bachelor's degree
• Experience in Systems Engineering processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience/domain knowledge of requirements, verification, and validation is preferred
• Experience with complex systems development and integration preferred
• Experience leading technical teams and driving engineering rigor with systems engineering processes and procedures is preferred

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
