In summary we are looking for a program administrator skilled in creating and implementing tools and processes that improve and measure our team’s performance and progress towards our goals. Your skill-sets and responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist with Program delivery – Administering and improving the processes that allow the team to accurately measure and report the time and money spent on activities by resources
  • Assist in ensuring that our new colleagues are up and running quickly by assisting with access to facilities, required project codes etc.
  • Assist in the creation of processes and tools to manage non-labour items cost – software subscriptions and licensing costs – so that they flow as required to our actual costs appropriately
  • Assist with program reporting by governing the flow of data from our teams and it’s aggregation for program and executive review
  • The ability to hold senior leaders accountable to deliver on commitments; tracking action items and decisions, and maintaining a close focus on what needs to get done and by whom – and ultimately ensuring that these items incrementally move forward towards closure
  • The ability to use tools to document, manage and monitor risks and actions – what they are, who is responsible for them, what can be done about them, and what we choose to do about them (acceptance, mitigation, avoidance) – incrementally tracking these towards toward closure
  • The courage to communicate objective reality based on quantitative criteria; to state clearly and without judgment or narrative, the truth about our projects’ conditions so that the appropriate decisions can be made to course-correct sooner rather than later
  • The ability to track and patiently work to remove impediments for the team
  • Confidence and self-assurance in verbal and written communication
  • Humility, open-mindedness and willingness to work with colleagues in a collaborative fashion
  • The ability to manage stakeholder relationships and ensure strong communication within and without the group
  • A sound understanding of the software development life cycle
  • To collaborate with Product teams to ensure that we are focused on doing the right things (and not just doing things right) and that our technical teams assuredly work on features that maximize return on investment and which are appropriately prioritized for delivery
  • To play a role in leading and coaching our teams and individual team members in Agile thinking
  • An excellent sense of humour

  • Technology delivery teams (development, operations, architects)
  • Product & Content Management
  • Program Office
  • Business Operations
  • 3rd parties (vendors, exchanges, clients, service providers)
  • Project and program management colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience required
  • Scrum Master experience preferred
  • Relevant Program/Project Management experience
  • Scrum/Agile credential (CSM, ACP etc.) ideal
  • Experience with other Lean/Agile framework and methods, i.e.: Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Decisive but inclusive decision making in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with light supervision
  • Proficient in at least one agile project management tools such as JiraProject management experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in interacting with management and communicating functional vision to both internal and external constituencies
  • Strong customer-facing experience and skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong desire to learn and highly self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Self-starter who works well both independently and on a team
