Job Description
The Team: JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPMC) seeks a Compliance Vice President to support its Global Anti-Corruption Compliance team in the United States. The Global Anti-Corruption Compliance (GACC) team manages the firm’s global Anti-Corruption Program (the Program) which is designed to manage and mitigate corruption risk and to assist the firm and its employees in complying with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws. GACC is part of the firm’s Global Employee Compliance organization which provides compliance coverage in relation to key employee-related regulatory and compliance risks such Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Code of Conduct, Licensing and Registrations, and Personal Account Dealing.
The Role: GACC Program Lead for Monitoring, Investigations, Violations Management and Training. The role will be responsible for oversight and execution of GACC’s global monitoring, violations management and training programs. In addition, the role will provide subject matter advisory support on investigations impacting the Anti-Corruption Policy. More generally, the role will provide secondary assistance across the other Program workstreams and projects on an as needed basis. The role will report to the Co-Head of GACC and will be located in New York.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, implementing and executing a strategic expense monitoring program targeted at identifying corruption risk in expense activity at the firm, including by exploring and potentially leading the build out of advanced technology solutions (e.g., machine learning and artificial intelligence).
- Designing, implementing and executing a centralized approach to the monitoring performed by GACC, including monitoring activities related to the Program’s Anything of Value, Third Party Intermediary, Referred Candidate and Government Engagement workstreams.
- Leading and managing anti-corruption advisory support provided by the Program to internal investigatory functions on issues touching on the Anti-Corruption Policy or corruption more broadly.
- Owning and overseeing the Program’s policy violations program, including review and development of violations scenarios, oversight of the issuance of violations, supervising the collation and analysis of data used to make violation determinations, and analysis and trending reviews in partnership with the GACC Strategic Oversight team.
- Leading the program’s training and awareness work, including by developing and implementing a strategic three year training program and conceiving and utilizing innovative ways to reach target audiences in a more impactful way.
- Developing materials and updating senior compliance management on Program issues related to monitoring, violations management, investigations and training initiatives.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in compliance, legal/regulatory or risk (anti-corruption experience preferred).
- Proven success driving strategy and large scale and complex projects to completion, including the ability to formulate and execute project plans and follow-up on projects until completion.
- Experience leading a functional group or work stream.
- Background in leading or assisting on investigations, forensic reviews or other similar analyses.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
- Effective and energetic collaborator committed to contributing to a positive team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present concise findings in a persuasive manner.
- Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities, uses sound judgement, and navigates ambiguity to get things done; able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
