Role Overview

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager with significant experience in global Airports Industry to support our Airport Systems business. Develops and implements Marketing Strategy through conducting complex research and decision making based on the analysis of that research. Consults with sales and functional lead personnel regarding financial aspects of product development, as well as the development and implementation of long term business strategies for product development. Continuously recommends the best solution to complex problems through the use of industry best practices.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and guidance through extensive knowledge of the global airport market to help guide our product marketing strategy. Is a source of information to the airport business and sales team to drive growth in the business and identify new areas of growth.
  • Supports and provides thought leadership to the Airport Systems business at external industry events, technical workshops and customer meetings.
  • Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience to improve the organization’s competitive position.
  • Consult with buying personnel to gain insight regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.
  • Develops, and implements highly sophisticated near-term and long-term business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries to ensure profitability and positioning in the market.
  • Oversees project selection, monitors product development and develop product launch plans to effectively manage a product or product category’s life cycle and ensure profitability.
  • Establishes marketing strategies including product direction, advertising, packaging, pricing, expense budgets, profit plans and future product development to manage a product or product category's life cycle.
  • Interfaces with engineers, designers, suppliers and customers to develop product and/or service requirements and specifications.
  • Reviews current product and service offerings to identify enhancements to current features and functionality.
  • Serves as technical adviser, demonstrating products and services and troubleshooting product issues.
  • Travel: 25-50%

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Has minimum of 5 years experience in the airport industry.
