Job Description

Job Title:- Senior Sourcing Engineer.
Reports To:- Senior Manager, Sourcing.
Job Location:- Guindy, Chennai.
Job Summary:-

• To manage and lead all Sourcing Projects(excluding Reynolds) – NPD and transfer projects as assigned.
• Project management at supplier side, liaison between suppliers and our cross functional team.
• Support supply chain and quality, other cross functional team to resolve issues at suppliers.

Tasks & Responsibilities:-

• Lead Project Management of WACE with close functional coordination.
• Drive project deliverables – NPD Sourcing support.
• To support supply and supplier management of Writing segment.
• Resolve ad hoc issues at suppliers.
• Cross functional team coordination ( Quality , SC , Segment team ) for Writing supply base.
• Need to work independently and collaboratively for all NPD and transfer projects at suppliers Extensive support to suppliers needed on site.
• Need to work with cross functional team in Chennai (R&D, RPI, Supply Chain, Quality) as well as cross functional team in the US of Newell. Externally needs to work with entire supplier base. Relationship management is key here.

Qualification:-Degree or Post Graduate, Engineering degree.
Min 5 years in engineering, project management.
International company working experience is essential.
Writing business knowledge is a preference.
Good communication and project management skills.
Technical and engineering knowledge in plastic injection, automation, chemistry.
Travel required 30-40 % to supplier locations and may be more at initial stage.
