We’re looking for a ServiceNow UI / UX Designer to join the APJ (Japan) Solution Innovation Team in the Solution Consulting organization. Our Team drives innovative business solutions with clients by extending and leveraging the Now Platform. We are looking for someone who is dynamic, willing to embrace the unknown, curious about new technologies and how they may be leveraged in solutions for our clients.

You will work alongside Architects, Developers and other Designers within an autonomous delivery squad that is responsible for understanding our clients’ aspirations and challenges. You will be working with our clients to find creative solutions that align with their defined business outcomes and building out solution prototypes that demonstrate the art of the possible on the Now Platform.

  • Perform in concert with architecture and development peers in an agile environment
  • Share knowledge with the core product UX/design teams around UX processes and tools

  • Travel up to 25% of the year to on-site customer engagements

What you need to be successful in this role

  • A strong passion for collaborating with a cross-functional team to solve complex business problems
  • A college degree (or proven experience) in the fields of graphic design, new media, interaction design, HCI design, media design, or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years successfully applying user-centered design on products
  • Command of design basics: readability, iconography, color, and spatial relationships
  • Experience in conceptualization, design strategy (UX), prototyping, and crafting visual UI screens
  • Total comfort and ease in a customer-facing role
  • Mobile, web application, and responsive web design experience across platforms
  • Fluidity in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch, and other creation tools
  • Experience working with enterprise IT software (e.g. ServiceNow, Salesforce, PeopleSoft)
  • Experience using HTML and CSS to customize user interfaces
  • Knowledge of user research and usability evaluation techniques
  • Nice to have: Experience creating custom themes and templates using popular CMS platforms like Wordpress, Django, or Joomla
  • Strong written and verbal Japanese & English language skills
  • An endless supply of curiosity
