Key Responsibilities

Dell, Inc. is looking for young graduates to join Dell’s Finance Development Program (FDP), a global two years rotational program aimed at developing Dell’s future finance leadership. The program combines four, six month rotations with MBA style coursework to provide participants with a wide breadth of experiences and an advanced knowledge of Dell’s finance systems, policies, and processes. In addition, the program offers visibility/networking with managers and executives, career development planning, soft skill training, developmental workshops, and a robust feedback/performance review process.

The coursework is divided into four semesters and is conducted both in classroom and virtual settings. Courses are taught by subject matter experts within Dell’s finance leadership and include topics such as financial statement analysis, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, liquidity management, tax, cost accounting, pricing, advanced revenue recognition accounting as well as in depth case studies.

The sixth month rotations place participants in various finance positions across the organization. Example rotations include Treasury, Global Reporting, Special Pricing, Services, Global Operations, Business Controls, and Financial Planning and Analysis. International assignments are possibilities for top performers for third and fourth rotations – the assignments are heavily dependent on prior program performance and current business needs.

Typical responsibilities within the four assignments include:

• Interactions and reporting responsibilities to senior management and executives
• Statistical analysts, planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Process improvements
• Building analytical models
• OPEX analysis and planning and Investor analysis and market studies
• Business case analysis and trending analysis
• Internal control compliance

Essential Requirements

• Recently obtained or currently working towards a Finance or Business related third level qualification
• Fluent in English
• Financial background
• Driven, self-starters, and flexible/ adaptable to a changing environment
• Investor analysis and market studies

Desirable Requirements

• Previous business internship experience
• International Experience (i.e. study abroad, international internships, etc.), as well as extra-curricular involvement
