JOB INFORMATION
Our Enterprise Architecture DevOps team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to develop our DevOps tools and patterns supporting our tech transformation to AWS. You will use modern tools, techniques, and methods to assess, design, develop enterprise continuous integration/delivery framework enabling enterprise-wide adoption of DevOps. Work with the project team members and have the direct interaction with various client and vendor resources to maintain client application release and source code including all source code that is, or will be, implemented in a production environment; scripts that install, configure, or monitor any applications in production environments; and application configuration information.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Develop DevOps framework and implement standards, processes, and controls for release and deployment activities
  • Develop sound version control best practices based CM systems (Clearcase, SVN, GIT , etc.), including branching and merging strategies
  • Automate the build and deployment of an n-tier enterprise system application with multiple underlying technologies (Java, Oracle, informatica, TIBCO, Salesforce) and technology frameworks in an interop environment.
  • Architect and develop best practices for software build tools (Maven, ANT, Shell ) and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Hudson), and infrastructure automation (VM Ware, Puppet, Chef, etc)

EDUCATION
Education Level Required
  • Bachelor's degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
  • 6 or more years of applied experience
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Technology such as AWS, AWS CLI, Docker, and Kubernetes
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Proven prior experience in leading and implementing continuous delivery and DevOps engineering practices to accelerate delivery
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in either Python or Java as well as having experience with NodeJS and JSON
  • Strong hands-on experience in DevOps related tools such as IBM Urban Code, Jenkins, SVN, Git, Maven, Gradle, Nexus, Groovy, YAML or similar
  • Knowledge of UNIX (Linux) environment and scripting (Bash, Shell and Python
  • Exposure to configuration management tools; RapidIT, Puppet, Chef or Ansible
  • Expertise in RESTful Webservices, SOA and Cloud application architecture
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodology
  • Exceptional skill in automation, shell scripting and be able to drive the Infrastructure as code practice Comfortable presenting and relaying information to anyone including upper management.
