Junior Solution Architect

Job Description The Intelligence & Security Sector is seeking a Junior Solution Architect to support software engineering and cyber security solution development across the sector. This position will report to the a Lead Solution Architect and the Director of Solution Architects for the Sector.
Solution Architects develop solutions for complex challenges, starting with the engineering problems and extending their expertise to management, pricing, and value propositions. Solution Architects perform architectural analyses, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and lead technical solution development. A Junior Solution Architect will work under the direct supervision of one or more of I&S Sector’s Senior Solution Architects as they participate in large capture efforts, and may choose to be bid on interesting proposals.
Typical Education & Experience Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experienceRequired Skills and Education

• A Bachelor’s degree and seven years of experience in an engineering position are required, or an equivalent Master’s.
• Demonstrated ability to decompose complex system and software requirements into easy to understand solutions with clear value propositions.
• Knowledge of modern Agile software development methodologies.
• Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively to articulate the understanding of their mission needs and requirements, and to communicate the value and benefit of BAE Systems solutions.
• Broad, well-defined software development lifecycle skills.
• Must be eligible for a Top Secret clearance to be considered.

Preferred Skills and Education

• Knowledge of current software development technologies, deployment models, and cloud native design principles.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile, team, pair programming, and waterfall, with experience using multiple software languages and tool sets.
• AWS Certified Associate Architect, Developer or SysOps Administrator.
• Microsoft Certified System Administrator in Cloud Platform or related certification.
• Agile Certification.
• CISSP, CEH, or other Cyber certification.
• Master’s Degree not limited to Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Cybersecurity.
