POSITION OVERVIEW:
SecurityTrax is the leading cloud-based platform custom built for the security and home automation industry. We provide business owners, office staff, and technicians a wide variety of real-time smart tools to more efficiently manage daily workflows. Currently, many of the most successful security dealers across North America use SecurityTrax to manage everything from call centers and inventory to payroll and service tracking. Our scalable platform means that we can help to support security providers of any size.

SecurityTrax, is rapidly growing and is a subsidiary of Alarm.com. We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer who wants to be part of a fast-paced team.

This position is ideal for the candidate who seeks a small, friendly company culture where one can work closely with smart and highly productive people across a very interesting spectrum of technologies to develop outstanding consumer products.

As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications
• Analyze functional requirements and product specifications
• Research, adopt, and integrate new technologies
• Innovate and improve existing products
• Take ownership of projects to ensure their successful completion with respect to deadlines
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance in developing a test plan to ensure successful deployment of updates

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science OR similar engineering program with strong academic performance
• 1+ years of experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES5, ES2015), HTML5, and CSS3+
• Familiarity with Ember.js or other JS frameworks (e.g. Backbone.js, Angular.js)
• Self-starter, analytical, tenacious problem solver
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Rigorous attention to detail and focus on quality of deliverables
• Proven team experience and comfort in a team-oriented environment
• Passion for working with technology and excitement for creating high quality consumer technology products
• An understanding of and/or experience on a scrum team
