The ECS team is looking for a technical engineering leader with a passion for innovative solutions to difficult engineering problems, who wants to be challenged and define the state-of-the-art in distributed systems. This position offers work in a dedicated team with a tremendous amount of ability to enable how engineering teams at ECS deliver the World’s best scale-out Object Storage system. Responsibilities

• Interact with the senior leadership team in order to raise the product quality bar.
• Drive critical engineering efforts and delivery decisions across project teams with urgency.
• Manage a large team of motivated QE engineers in a face paced environment.
• Actively mentor, train and develop team members on an ongoing basis.
• Leverage data to make strategic and tactical decisions.
• Provide execution visibility at all times.

Requirements

• Strong background in software quality process and QE automation engineering.
• 2+ Years managing a team of software quality engineers and software developers
• 2+ Years Experience with Linux enterprise software development
• Hands on experience with distributed systems and large scale software architectures.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and coordination skills and the ability to resolve ambiguity in a quickly-changing environment.
• Solid programming background in Java, C#, or similar languages/technologies with a focus on networking, multithreading, and memory management.
