Job Title: Software Engineer 1 - IT

Cyberjaya, Malaysia

Responsibilities:

You will be part of the team which is responsible to re-define the back office products within Dell's IT order management, supply chain and Finance domains. As part of the team you will be responsible for evaluation of new open source technologies and innovating and enhancing user experience. He should be well versed with the various architectural principles and also hands on and ready to work on new generation technologies and should drive adoption of cloud based technologies. You should also be ready to take up a mentor role or lead the team and drive the team’s strategy and define the success parameters for the team members and Dells business. Expectation from the candidate is for strong technical, programming and analytical skills.

• Functional, regression, smoke testing of the features developed by the Scrum team.
• Automate the key flows that will ease up the repeated testing.
• Participate and follows all the processes and events of agile – scrum and XP
• Provide a report of testing when required.
• Very good communication skills with all stakeholders and should be able to work in a team.
• Should be able to bring in latest engineering practices and looks for improvements.
• Able to adapt the work culture defined by the leaders of the team.

Requirement:

• Awareness of Software Industry
• Awareness in Software Development using Java/Oracle
• Awareness in leveraging, supporting, building automated modularized testing of web applications, oracle EBS Applications (preferably in JAVA).
• Awareness of Test or Automation Management
• Development and testing awareness supporting service-oriented architecture (SOA) and Oracle EBS Applications
• Awareness with building and leveraging automated testing as part of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle, MySQL).
• Knowledge with some or all of the following:
  • Source control: i.e. Subversion, Git or GitHub, Team Foundation server Version Control (Visual Studio) (to include familiarity with code branching/merging strategies)
  • Build tools: Jenkins/Hudson, Maven and Ant, Team Foundation Server Builds
  • Familiarity with unit testing and code-coverage tools such as Junit, TestNG
  • Familiarity with mainstream automation tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, SoapUI Pro and OATS (Oracle Application Testing Suite)
  • Familiarity with some or all of Oracle EBS App

• Awareness with multiple testing & development methodologies including: Code Driven Testing (CDT), Data Driven Testing, Keyword Driven Testing (KDT), Modular Driven Testing (MDT), Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Awareness supporting end-to-end testing (preferably automated) that spans across functional, performance, security, A/B (Variant) and usability.
