What you’ll be doing...
The Director of Fios Consumer Macro Segment Marketing will be responsible for defining the end-to-end value propositions for Fios’ Consumer home services, with accountability for creating differentiated positioning, packaging and pricing plans to drive household acquisition, total customer profitability, and lifetime value. This is a high-impact role focused on leading the development and evolution of our Fios Broadband, Video, and Home Phone offerings and segment marketing plans. The Director will be responsible for leading a team to evaluate customer needs and priority segments, market trends and industry dynamics, while creating solutions using pricing structures, product feature inclusions, differentiated promotions, 3rd party partnerships, market positioning and more.
The Director will be a thought leader on the evolution of the home services market, will lead a dynamic team of content marketing managers, and will work collaboratively across the extended organizations covering product marketing, creative marketing, product development, content acquisition, finance, channel sales and service, network operations, and others.
Position Responsibilities:
- Define Fios service tiers, pricing and packaging structure and overall value proposition based on consumer needs, market insights, competitive dynamics and business requirements. Objective is to maximize Fios connections, total customer profitability, and lifetime value.
- Lead customer research strategy and insight generation, as well as home service industry benchmarking inside and outside of the Fios footprint.
- Lead Fios macrosegment marketing strategies, including the identification and prioritization of key market segments, development of value propositions and offer positioning to appeal to these key segments, and marketing tactics to drive awareness and conversion across sales channels
- Lead development of geographic segment marketing approach and customer insights, in collaboration with local sales and marketing teams
- Own Fios video pricing, packaging strategy and overall strategic segment targeting approach, considering consumer trends, content costs and packaging distribution requirements. Objective is to manage overall Fios TV package sold mix across sales channels to fulfill content distribution requirements and maximize total customer profitability.
- Financial business case development, customer experience outcome projections, and accountability to business financial performance are critical elements of this leadership position
- Lead overall market positioning and operational strategy for launching new value props or evolving current market solutions through Verizon product development, and operational delivery chain.
- Own marketing briefing for agency creative development for media campaigns, sales merchandising and digital/social media presence
- Own 6-quarter roadmaps for macro home value proposition launches and modifications to inform company integrated marketing plans
What we’re looking for...
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. MBA and/or technical degree highly desired.
- 10+ years of experience in home service portfolio management, or other subscription service businesses.
- Expertise developing and executing segment-based strategies to achieve customer growth and accomplish strategic objectives, ideally in the home services business.
- Drive to be a thought-leader across Verizon marketing organizations, identifying customer problems, framing options and driving the company forward to create winning solutions for customers in market
- Pay TV industry experience a plus.Solid understanding of current content industry dynamics, and changes under way.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and performance in a matrixed, consensus-based organization where successful collaboration and communication are required at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to create a positive, growth-oriented team culture, where individual contributors thrive and continuously improve their skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
