Role Overview

This position is a senior professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Talent Management who leads various talent management activities, including recruiting, on-boarding, training, employee engagement, and strategic sourcing processes. Interfaces with leadership regarding talent management policies, practices and procedures for an assigned business unit or department.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Drives recruiting processes and new hire on-boarding and orientation to ensure an assigned area’s recruitment and on-boarding processes are efficient, effective and equitable.
• Directs quantitative and qualitative analysis of talent management programs to illustrate key trends; guides research on leading practices to illustrate program alternatives.
• Leads programs focused on fostering an inclusive work environment and increasing employee satisfaction and engagement.
• Collaborates with business unit or department leadership to align staffing strategies for the short- and long-term needs of an assigned area.
• Identifies business unit or department performance management trends; guides research on leading practices to illustrate program alternatives focused on an assigned area’s current and future human resources needs.
• Manages and monitors talent management program costs and effectiveness and assess alignment with assigned area needs.
• Leads the analysis of assigned area talent pools, short- and long-term staffing needs, and guides research of leading practice to help outline alternatives to address findings.
• Directs talent gap analyses and the development of reports illustrating strategic sourcing and retention plan alternatives that address the current and future human resource needs of an assigned area.
• Develops and implements programs, including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, diversity within a business line / unit.
• Monitors routine and standardized training programs, assesses results and implements enhancements as needed.
• Conducts training needs assessments, analyzes employee training needs and plans requirements for workforce development.
• Conducts ongoing evaluations to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommends modifications as necessary.
• Maintains training attendance records to determine program effectiveness.
• Analyzes the organizational structure and determines changes to be implemented with regard to organizational responsibilities, staffing, managerial skills and the quality of work life.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is Required
  • Can balance between working independently and partnering with peers via collaborative partnership
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Ability to build relationships and partner with leadership to determine business needs
  • Ability to operate as a true HR generalist to promote effective processes in Talent Acquisition
  • Sourcing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage and lead small projects (preferred)
