Job Title: Global Logistics and Trade Compliance Specialist
Location: Videojet Technologies Inc., Wood Dale, Illinois

Job Summary

The Global Logistics and Trade Compliance Specialist is primarily responsible for overseeing the implementation of a duty drawback program as well as overseeing the movement of goods from a logistical and trade compliance perspective into and out of North America. This position requires a person with good organizational, time management and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working with brokers to provide information and clear shipments on a daily basis
• File claims and keep track of claims with carriers for damaged/ lost shipments.
• Provide freight quotes to Customer Service team based on the Standard Work.
• Freight payment auditing.

• Responsible for the ongoing duty drawback program, including:

o Maintain written process on duty drawback program.
o Identifying the location and sources of documentation and data (i.e. import transactions, export transactions, etc.) required to support drawback program.
o Obtain and store supporting documentation necessary to support drawback claims.
o Gathering supporting documentation and provide to drawback broker.
o Generating various reports and transmitting to drawback broker for processing drawback claims.
o Addressing data integrity issues identified by drawback broker and implement corrective and preventive measures.
o Resolving escalations from drawback broker regarding non-responsive or untimely responses from third party entities (i.e. import brokers freight forwarders, domestic suppliers, etc.).
o Coordinating efforts with drawback broker to expand drawback opportunities.
o Reporting to management on current state of drawback program.

• Responding to inquiries from customs brokers or freight companies.

• Identifying and implementing supply chain improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years relevant logistics and/or international trade and customs experience
• Experience with drawback preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• High accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements for this position
