Group Creative Director

Job Description

Group Creative Directors are the driving force that keeps the creative side of Huge at the top of its game—they make sure no talent goes to waste and the work stays sharp. These are crazy-talented people who develop original design concepts, oversee multiple projects through execution, and directly managing a team of creatives under them. Team leadership and motivation skills are absolutely essential for the role. Our Group Creative Directors have a big job, and we need people who aren’t afraid to see such massive undertakings in front of them and still say, “We can do more here.” This is a leadership position in every sense of the phrase, and we need someone who can represent Huge culture and standards to all levels and disciplines within the department and company-wide. Group Creative Directors are also responsible for managing the client relationship for all things related to creative.

What you’ll do:

• In partnership with the Executive Creative Director, establish vision and technical direction for our global clients and the Experience Design team.
• Develop original design concepts, oversee multiple projects through execution, and help lead a team of creative technologists.
• Ensure new and existing projects adhere to our user-centered experience design, interaction design, creative and operational standards.
• Develop and share a deep understanding of new platform technologies.
• Collaborate deeply with strategists, designers, data experts, creative thinkers and technologists who specialize in creating experiences people love
• Develop the Experience Design team in a purposeful way in order to increase their competence, confidence and capability to make significant contributions to Huge and our clients.
• Lead the team to achieve results by selecting the right talent, getting the most out of each team member, leveraging the synergy of people working together, and creating team confidence and enthusiasm.

• Strong design instincts and a deep understanding of interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand development and creative process fundamentals.
• Innovative, big-picture thinking grounded in real-world pragmatism.

• Openness to change, an ability to identify where it is needed, how to make it happen, and how to help others through it.
• Readiness to set design and creative direction, and promote design principles.
• Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels of both internal and client organizations.
• Proven success in a digital agency environment
